“WOW- Today , 30 November, I was there when Greg spoke at Rustenburg Girls Junior school.
Karen Slater from SAS – South African Sailing, had asked Greg to come and inspire the Girls and promoted sailing as a fun after school activity and passion.
Greg shared his story of fighting for his life in hospital, his recovery and his adventures with The Little Optimist and in life. This had the girls both giggling with joy and being spellbound with anticipation and suspense.
His message as always, endorsed the benefits of having a passion, following your dreams, how being just FINE is actually FANTASTIC, and how little people can do big things.
It was an amazing morning and at the end a very moving moment ( specially for Greg) when he & the Little Opi were swarmed by the girls for a photo, with many actually giving him big, big hugs of gratitude.
Big thanks to all the Girls, teachers , Rustenburg Junior and South African Sailing.”
